We encourage every citizen to become a member of The Mt. Lebanon Democratic Party.
We want you to be involved in something you believe in and enjoy. We are always searching for new people to help us with fundraising, Election Day activities, door knocking, marketing, web design and outreach.
We welcome your talents and interest in helping us do good works for our mission.
There are several levels of membership with varying degrees of commitment and involvement.
Full Member
A Full MTLDC Member is someone who is either:
- elected to represent their Ward and District in a general election; or
- nominated by the MTLDC Chair and appointed by the County Chair in order to represent a specific Ward and Distrcit in Mt Lebanon.
In accordance with the County Bylaws, the MTLDC can have one male and one female Full Member per Ward and District. Full members are elected to a four year term or appointed to fill the remainder of such a term.
Associate Member
An Associate MTLDC Member is someone who is nominated by a Full MTLDC Member and appointed by the MTLDC Chair. Associate Members are allowed to fully participate in all MTLDC meetings and events but in accordance to County Party guidelines, they cannot vote in Party endorsements or elections. Associate members are encouraged to participate in as many MTLDC events as they possibly can-including canvassing and Election Day work. There is no time as to the term of an Associate Member as long as they keep in semi-regular contact with the MTLDC activities whether through email or in person.
Friend of the MTLDC
The MTLDC recognizes that some people just want to keep updated on the Democratic Party in Mt. Lebanon and perhaps, if their schedule allows, attend a meeting or event once in awhile but remain under no other obligations. Friends of the MTLDC receive a regular email updating them on our activities and encouraging them to stay in touch with the local Party.
If you’d like to volunteer your time without seeking official membership, you can get more information on our Volunteer with the Mt. Lebanon Democratic Party page.
