I grew up outside Chicago in a union family and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in industrial engineering. I’ve worked as an engineer in a variety of industries at companies including Bosch Automotive, Walt Disney World, Oracle Corporation, and tech start-ups. At 26, I founded a software consulting company that employed over 20 people and grossed $3 million in revenue.
We chose Mt. Lebanon to raise our family because of the friendly neighborhoods, safety, walkability, quality recreation facilities, attractive business districts, and top notch schools. I have three kids in Mt. Lebanon schools where I volunteer, assist in coaching soccer, run a girl scout troop, and attend commission meetings to help connect the issues and concerns I hear about from residents to our local government.
Everyone who experiences Mt. Lebanon, whether as a resident, a visitor, a patron of our businesses, or a commuter passing through, should sense the pride we have in our community through our parks, business districts, safety, and community services. I will pursue policies that will enhance our community and attract residents, families, and businesses by improving Mt. Lebanon’s reputation as the up-and-coming vibrant and diverse community in the South Hills.
I am especially passionate about environmental issues, including how climate change will financially impact our residents with our aging stormwater infrastructure and increased likelihood of flooding. I will work towards making Mt. Lebanon a more sustainable community with greener options for residents.
